I love to make this several times in the fall. It's a very simple recipe and it come from my Mom. Remember that apples are a part of the dirty dozen. Since they are in season, you will find many organic options in your favorite market for low prices. Our dear friends that are joining us for the holiday asked that we have an apple pie instead of a crisp. I'll be posting how to make a GF crust after the holiday. And I'll be using apples from my neighbors house and don't really have a clue what type or how sweet they are. Yes, I told them I'll be 'stealing apples' from them. No middle of the night foraging this time.
